  1. A seaplane is an aeroplane which is capable 
  2. of taking off from, and landing on, water. 
  3. There are two major types, floatplanes and 
  4. flying boats. The floatplane is similar to an 
  5. ordinary aeroplane but has floats in place of 
  6. wheels, the flying boat has a broad hull 
  7. shaped like a boat and may also have floats 
  8. attached to the wing tips.
